Exterior Wall Insulation Solutions
This is designed for External Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS/EWI) used in new residential and commercial buildings, as well as energy-efficiency retrofits of existing structures. By utilizing alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh as the primary reinforcement layer-complemented by paper-faced metal corner beads and self-adhesive mesh tape-the system effectively addresses issues such as cracking in the mortar layer applied over EPS, XPS, or rock wool boards, damage to external corners, and stress cracking around door and window openings, thereby extending the service life of the exterior wall finish by more than ten years.
Industry Challenges
Render cracks concentrate at corners and around window/door openings.
Outside corners chip during transport, scaffolding hits and post-handover use.
45° diagonal cracks radiate from window corners - the top rework hot spot.
Ordinary mesh loses strength in alkaline render within 1–2 years.

FAQ
Q1. What Products Are Used in Exterior Wall Insulation Systems?
A typical EIFS/EWI build-up uses insulation boards (EPS, XPS or rock wool), a base render reinforced with alkali-resistant (AR) fiberglass mesh, paper-faced outside corner beads, self-adhesive mesh tape for openings and joints, and a finish render. We supply the reinforcement layer: AR mesh, mesh tape and corner beads.
Q2. How Do I Choose the Right Fiberglass Mesh for Exterior Wall Insulation?
Choose by weight (145-300 g/m2), mesh size (4x4 / 5x5 / 6x6 mm) and tensile strength. For base render, use AR-coated mesh with tensile >=750 N/50 mm and AR retention >=50%; go heavier for high-rise or thick-render work and lighter for interior retrofit.
Q3. Why Is Alkali-Resistant Fiberglass Mesh Important for Wall Insulation?
Cement-based render is highly alkaline, and ordinary mesh loses most of its strength within 1-2 years. AR-coated mesh retains tensile strength over time, so the reinforced render stays crack-free and the insulation system keeps its 10+ year service life.
Q4. What Customization Options Are Available for Fiberglass Mesh and Mesh Tape?
Weight and mesh size, roll length (25 / 50 / 100 m) with a 3-inch core, bead profiles (90 / J / L / Bullnose), plus neutral or customer-logo packaging on pallets.
Q5. How Do I Choose the Right Outside Corner Bead for My Project?
For plaster-direct EIFS, choose paper-faced galvanized metal corner bead: the galvanized core resists impact and protects the corner, and the paper face bonds directly into plaster. Match the profile (90 standard, J, L or Bullnose) to your desired corner finish.
Q6. How Is Fiberglass Mesh Installed in an Exterior Wall Insulation System?
Embed the mesh into the wet base render over the insulation board, overlapping strips by about 100 mm and wrapping around outside corners. First reinforce window/door openings diagonally with self-adhesive mesh tape, then float the corner bead, and apply the topcoat once the base render cures.
Q7. What Quality Standards Should I Check When Purchasing Fiberglass Mesh?
Check alkali-resistant retention (>=50%), tensile strength (>=750 N/50 mm), consistent weight (g/m2) and mesh size, and conformity with relevant EIFS standards. We provide test reports and can support CE and other certification requirements on request.
Q8. What Information Should I Provide When Requesting a Quote for Wall Insulation Materials?
Share the product type (mesh / tape / corner bead), weight and mesh size or profile, roll length and quantity, packaging and logo requirements, destination port and estimated volume. We will then send specs, a sample and a quotation.
