Metal Reinforced Corner Tape
Galvanized Steel Metal Corner Tape is a flexible roll-formed material specially designed for reinforcing internal and external wall corners. It is composed of high-quality hot-dip galvanized steel strip bonded with high-strength paper tape, combining the strength of metal with the flexibility of paper. During application, it can be directly embedded into the putty layer, effectively preventing wall corners from cracking and chipping while ensuring straight and aesthetically pleasing corners. Widely used in scenarios such as gypsum board ceilings, plastered walls, and old wall renovations. This metal corner tape has passed the factory production control inspection by the EU recognized third-party certification body. It fully complies with the mandatory requirements of the EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and the harmonized standard EN 14353:2017, with legal access to the EU market.

Product Features

- Saves Putty: The ultra-thin steel strip combined with paper tape on both sides results in a thin covering layer, reducing material waste.
- Strong Bonding: The paper tape has excellent affinity with putty, and the perforated design of the steel strip allows putty to penetrate and interlock, preventing hollowing and detachment.
Applications
Application Guide
1. Surface Preparation: Clean dust and oil from the wall corner, and dampen the surface beforehand to reduce water absorption.
2. Apply Base Coat: Evenly apply joint compound or specialized leveling putty on both sides of the corner, slightly wider than the corner tape.
3. Embed the Corner Tape:
- Fold the corner tape along its centerline to 90° (fold in the opposite direction for internal corners).
- Press the tape into the putty. Gently press with a trowel to force excess putty through the perforations, ensuring the tape is fully bonded to the wall without hollow areas.
4. Scrape and Cover: After the base layer dries, scrape off excess putty and apply a thin topcoat of putty to cover the tape surface.
5. Sand and Finish: Once dry, sand smooth with sandpaper. The surface is then ready for painting, wallpapering, or other finishes.
Tip: Run the corner tape continuously through corners without breaks. If splicing is necessary, ensure a minimum overlap of 50mm.
Packaging & Shipping
- Inner Packaging: Single roll in a paper box, moisture-proof and shock-resistant.
- Outer Packaging: Reinforced corrugated cartons or custom wooden pallets suitable for long-distance transport.
- Storage Conditions: Store in a dry, ventilated place, avoiding rain and moisture.

- Aluminum Corner Tape: The strip type is aluminum, lighter weight and stronger.
